Core calculators, generators, text transformations, and supported image and PDF conversions process inputs in your browser. Files selected for those local operations are not uploaded to IndrTools for conversion.
- **Preferences:** Theme, accessibility options, pinned tools, recent tools, and tool-specific settings may persist in browser storage.
- **Saved work:** Captured scenarios, inputs, results, working notes, saved themes, and citation-library records may remain on this device after a page is closed.
- **Your control:** Clear stored records through the relevant tool or browser controls. Export records you need to keep before clearing site data; device-local storage does not automatically synchronize across browsers.
- **Downloads and sharing:** Local exports create files on your device. Review exported reports and copied share links before sending them to someone else because they may include information you entered.
- **Citation identifiers:** DOI lookup sends the submitted identifier to Crossref. ISBN lookup sends the submitted ISBN to Open Library.
- **Webpage citations:** When you request extraction from a webpage link, the submitted URL is sent to an IndrTools endpoint, which fetches the public page to extract citation metadata. The request and destination website receive the network information required for that operation.
- **Public IP:** The public-IP utility contacts ipify to retrieve your public address. This is an online action, not a local calculation.
- **Review first:** Do not submit private or credential-bearing URLs. Review lookup results against the original source before using them.
IndrTools is advertising-supported. Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising services may process technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, cookies, and usage events. Advertising providers may use their own identifiers when enabled. This website-level handling is separate from local tool-input processing.
Browser cookie and storage controls can affect website preferences and advertising behavior. Consult the live IndrTools privacy and cookie pages for service-provider details. We do not claim that local tools make the entire service immune to security incidents or automatically compliant with every privacy law.
