KairoTabs reads open tab titles, URLs, window and group information, and tab states such as active, pinned, audible and discarded. It uses this information to show, search, group and clean up tabs, protect important tabs, and provide focus controls.
It stores settings, favorites, saved sessions, snoozed and archived pages, rules, undo records, and local activity statistics in Chrome extension storage. Activity statistics include site usage times, tab activity and focus session counters. It can read system memory availability to display a memory meter and support memory-saving features, and Chrome idle state to pause site time tracking while you are away. Recently closed tabs and windows come from Chrome's sessions API.
KairoTabs does not read page bodies, passwords, form entries, messages, payment details or cookies. A tab title or URL can contain personal information; that metadata is handled locally for the tab management features described above.
KairoTabs does not transmit this information to the developer or to analytics, advertising or AI services. It does not sell user data or share it for advertising, credit decisions or unrelated purposes. It uses tab information only to provide its tab management features, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.
Opening or restoring a page causes Chrome to visit that website normally. That website's own privacy policy applies to the visit. This does not send your other tabs or KairoTabs storage to that site.
Saved items and preferences remain in the local Chrome profile until you change or delete them, reset KairoTabs data, or uninstall the extension. Activity and operational records are kept within the extension's local storage limits. KairoTabs does not run a remote backup service.
You can delete saved items, export local data, or reset extension data from Settings. Exported files remain under your control; they can contain saved URLs, titles, settings and local statistics. Store or share them accordingly.
